MachineMax and Orange Business partner to optimise Australian heavy machinery operations

MachineMax and Orange Business have announced a strategic partnership that will revolutionise heavy machinery site operations across Australia’s mining, construction, and resource industries.

The collaboration between the digital solutions offered by Orange Business and MachineMax will enhance capabilities, giving companies access to software that can improve site visibility and deliver operational insights to predict maintenance, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and increase efficiency and productivity.

By combining Orange Business’ expertise in connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity and IoT with MachineMax’s data solution and sensor technology to track statistics for machinery fleets, including active and idle hours, fuel use, CO2 emissions and location, the partnership will give organisations unmatched site visibility and operational insights. The collaboration represents a significant step forward in overcoming operational challenges associated with multi-OEM and while contributing to environmental sustainability.

MachineMax was looking to revolutionise operational proficiencies through a strategic partnership with Orange Business, which offered global network capabilities and expertise within key resource and construction industries, in addition to a broad portfolio of services.

“At MachineMax, digital technology helps us meet our mission to track and improve productivity through enhanced utilisation and actionable insights that eliminate excessive idling and cut down on emissions, globally,” said David White, Operational Growth Manager at MachineMax. “The partnership with Orange Business not only cements our commitment to our mission but also enhances our ability to work with our end users to set benchmarks for operations with greater connectivity, efficiency and sustainability outcomes.”

The partnership will give real-time visibility to site operators to enable quicker decision-making, improved maintenance planning, and optimised resource allocation for heavy machinery fleets, ultimately leading to enhanced operational efficiency.

“With the construction and mining industries facing significant business and technology challenges caused by equipment and skilled labor shortages, increasingly short project schedules and rising costs, we know that our customers need digital infrastructure that focuses on the overall employee, customer, and operational experience,”

said Andrew Borthwick, Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand at Orange Business.

The partnership between Orange Business and MachineMax represents a milestone in transforming operations across the Australian mining, construction and resource industries. By combining the expertise of the respective businesses, site operators can now be equipped with the tools they need to thrive in today's competitive landscape, while also minimising their environmental footprint and better utilising their heavy vehicle fleets.
